Studio Swing publishes this comparison and sells website design and development. We include ourselves first so that interest is clear. The order is not a ranking. Provider descriptions draw on their public service pages; the fit recommendations are our editorial judgment. We have not independently tested these providers' delivery or client results.

For service firms and B2B teams choosing a marketing website, start with the work you need someone to take responsibility for. That might include deciding the pages, writing them, designing them, building an editable site, moving old addresses and checking that enquiries reach you. A design proposal and a complete website proposal can cover very different jobs.

This comparison looks at Studio Swing, Bop Design, Huemor, Lounge Lizard and Trajectory. They offer useful alternatives for service firms and business teams, with different approaches to content, technology and delivery. Use the shortlist to identify questions for a proposal, then compare the answers against your project.

The selection covers different buying situations rather than every agency or every market. Provider availability, contracts and included work need confirmation for your project. Trajectory's public positioning is US-focused; we have not established that it accepts international engagements. No provider here is presented as the best choice for every business.

Studio Swing: page planning, design and build for business websites

We plan each page around what customers ask before they enquire or buy. For a service business, our offer includes a page plan and briefs, an enquiry form, a website designed for phone and desktop, and a Content Management System (CMS) for changing text and images. We agree who writes the pages and who supplies the materials before work starts.

Our work also includes Shopify stores, online shops, B2B websites, redesign, SEO and analytics, with responsibilities settled in the scope. A service-business website might use WordPress or custom code; the platform follows the requirements.

You receive a written scope and quote before work starts. Our offer states that your domain and accounts are yours, with files and logins handed over. Third-party licences retain their own terms. Care after launch is separately agreed.

We check forms through to receipt and check search basics before launch. Our original concepts demonstrate design thinking. They are fictional studies, not client projects or evidence of sales or enquiry improvements.

Consider us when: you want page planning, design and build coordinated around the questions your customers need answered.

Ask us: which pages, writing, features, tests and handover items are included in this proposal?

Bop Design: B2B websites with WordPress and content work

Bop Design's website service combines custom B2B design, messaging, copywriting and development. Its stated website-design focus is exclusively WordPress. The service page describes discovery, concepts, design, content and SEO, development and launch. Bop Design website services.

That makes it a relevant candidate for a consulting, engineering or other B2B firm that wants content and a WordPress website handled together. A fixed requirement for another platform would change the fit.

Consider Bop Design when: WordPress is appropriate and the writing and messaging need as much attention as the layout.

Ask Bop Design: what will you hand over, who owns each account and deliverable, and what happens after launch? If replacing a site, ask who inventories old addresses, implements redirects and checks the result.

Huemor: an integrated B2B redesign engagement

Huemor describes strategy, UI/UX, website copywriting and full-stack development, with a B2B focus. Its development page discusses integrations and client acceptance testing, and names WordPress, HubSpot and Webflow platform routes. Huemor and development services.

Its dedicated redesign offer lists data migration, technical SEO, analytics setup, editor guidelines, ownership of design and development on completion, and initial post-launch support. These are provider-stated deliverables; their exact terms belong in the proposal. Huemor redesign services.

Consider Huemor when: your B2B redesign needs coordinated messaging, copy, design, development and connections to other systems.

Ask Huemor: how will your old URLs be mapped and tested, which accounts remain yours, and what support continues after the initial period? Data migration can mean transferring content; confirm URL migration separately.

Lounge Lizard: brand-led design with a separate design-only option

Lounge Lizard describes custom design, UX/UI and search-informed planning for businesses with multiple audiences and stakeholders. Its service page distinguishes design-only engagements from work that includes development. Design handover includes the final Figma file and supporting assets. Lounge Lizard web design services.

Its platform list includes WordPress, Shopify, Adobe Commerce/Magento, Drupal and Contentful. For redesigns, the page describes reviewing existing search pages and URLs and documenting redirect, canonical and sitemap requirements. Implementation depends on the engagement.

Consider Lounge Lizard when: you need a shared brand and design direction across complex content, or have a development team that needs approved designs and a handover.

Ask Lounge Lizard: does this proposal include the build, page writing and migration implementation, or design and requirements for another team? Confirm ownership and the support period too.

Trajectory: content-led websites for professional services

Trajectory's professional-services offer lists audience research, copywriting, team and service content, custom design, and CMS integration using Craft, Webflow or WordPress. It also lists intake forms, scheduling and CRM connections. Trajectory professional-services web design.

Its process includes launch testing, analytics, old-site redirects and team training, with optional ongoing work. Its public positioning describes US delivery, so buyers elsewhere should establish availability first. Trajectory's process and company website.

Consider Trajectory when: a professional-services website needs content development and a connected intake process, subject to location and project fit.

Ask Trajectory: can you support our location, which accounts and files do we control, and how does the website move if we change hosting or support arrangements?

Compare proposals using the same business brief

Consider a fictional engineering consultancy replacing an older website. It needs clearer service pages, team credentials, downloadable information, an enquiry form and a CMS. Some old pages already attract visitors. The consultancy has technical knowledge but needs help turning it into readable copy.

The provider decision turns on several responsibilities:

Requirement in this fictional briefWhat a useful proposal should resolve
Clearer service pagesWho researches the audience, plans the pages and writes the copy? Who checks technical accuracy?
Editable contentWhich content can staff change, and what training or documentation will they receive?
Existing search visitsWho records the old pages and URLs, decides what stays or changes, and checks each destination?
Working enquiriesWho tests submission, receipt and the agreed tracking, including an unsuccessful submission?
Control after launchWho owns the domain, accounts, files and licences? What is needed to move to another provider?
Continued upkeepWhich updates, backups, checks and content changes are covered, and who handles everything else?

For this example, Bop Design's WordPress and content focus is directly relevant. Huemor's coordinated redesign offer is worth examining if integrations and wider strategy are substantial parts of the work. Lounge Lizard's design-only option fits if the consultancy already has an implementation team. Trajectory's professional-services scope deserves a look where availability fits. Studio Swing's page-planning and design/build offer is relevant if the consultancy wants those decisions coordinated in one scope.

Those are reasons to investigate each candidate. The proposal must establish who will do the required work. We have not requested proposals from these providers or run this fictional project through their teams.

Check ownership, launch testing and migration separately

Ownership needs an inventory. Ask about the domain, hosting, CMS account, design files, code, content, analytics accounts and third-party licences. A promise of ownership should explain what is handed over and any conditions. Our handover guide gives you a fuller checklist.

Launch testing needs an outcome you can inspect. For an enquiry site, ask how the provider confirms the form reaches the intended inbox and how agreed tracking is checked. Ask which phone, keyboard, readability and performance checks are included. A general reference to quality assurance leaves those details open.

A redesign needs decisions about existing pages. Keeping an address, redirecting a merged page and removing a page with no useful replacement are different actions. Ask for the page and URL decisions before launch, the checks afterwards, and who watches for problems. Content transfer alone does not describe that work. See planning a website redesign.

Support needs named responsibilities. Separate the initial handover or defect-support period from ongoing maintenance, content changes and hosting. Confirm what ends, what renews and what you can manage yourself.

Send a brief that produces comparable answers

Give each candidate the same starting information: what your business does, who buys from you, what visitors need to do, the current website, materials you already have, and any required systems or platform. Identify the parts you need help deciding.

Ask each provider to separate planning, writing, design, build, migration, testing, handover and aftercare. A price becomes easier to assess when you can see the work behind it. Our website brief guide can help you prepare that request.

A small, defined website may be well served by a specialist freelancer or a builder you can maintain yourself. A project with content, design, technical and launch decisions needs someone responsible for coordinating those parts. Compare designers, developers, freelancers and studios if that choice is still open.

If Studio Swing fits the work you need, share your current website or describe the first one you want. Tell us what customers should understand and what they should be able to do. We agree the scope and quote before work starts.

Discuss your project.
