Do you work with small businesses and one-person businesses?
Yes. We work with service firms, shops, practices and small companies, new or established, and you can start small and add to the website later.
How many design changes are included?
Two rounds of changes are included before we build. Further changes are scoped separately and agreed with you before the work starts.
Do I need to write a technical brief?
No. Tell us what your business does and what the website should help it achieve. A few sentences is enough.
Does it cost anything to ask?
No. Tell us about your project, and we reply with next steps. No cost, no obligation.
Ownership
Who owns it?
You do: the domain, the hosting and Shopify accounts, the files and the logins. Anything run by another company keeps that company's terms, and we list each one.
Who owns my website, and can I leave?
You do, and you can leave at any time with your files and logins. Your domain and accounts are in your name.
Who owns the Shopify account?
You do. The owner account stays in your name, and our access is granted and removable. You can leave at any time with your files and logins.
Process
What happens first?
You fill in a short form about your business. We reply with next steps, and the first step is agreeing the work and your written scope and quote.
When do I commit?
Only after you agree the written scope and quote. Nothing is committed before that.
Do I have to book a call?
No. You fill in the form first, then we reply. There is no call booking.
What do I get after I send the form?
A reply with next steps, then a written scope and tailored quote. Nothing is committed until you agree it.
Does anything go live without my approval?
No. We run the agreed launch checks, and the website launches with your go-ahead.
Search and AI answers
Will it bring customers, and will Google find me?
That is what we build it for, but no one can promise rankings or sales. We plan the pages around search research and agree with you up front what we will count.
Can you guarantee page one on Google?
No. Nobody can honestly promise that. We agree in writing what we will research, plan and fix.
Do you sell AI files or an AI score?
No. We do not sell special AI files, an AI score or position tracking. We keep your pages clear, consistent and open to search engines.
Can I buy SEO without a new website?
Yes. SEO can stand alone, and your scope states which fixes we make. If you are planning a site, we can start before design.
Why is my website not on Google?
Usually the pages are blocked, thin or not matched to what people search. We check these first and list what we find.
How long does SEO take to work?
No one can give an honest date for results, so we do not publish one. We agree scope first and tell you what is checked.
Will a redesign hurt my search results?
Traffic can move after any redesign, and no one can guarantee otherwise. What we control: we plan every old page and address before launch and check the redirects.
Do you send every old address to the homepage?
No. Each old address goes to its closest relevant new page, and a page with no useful equivalent can show a 404 or 410 message.
How do I find out which enquiries come from where?
We agree which actions count, set up Google Analytics and Search Console, and test each one. Then you see which pages and searches lead to enquiries.
What counts as an enquiry?
An enquiry the form accepted. A click on a button or a started form does not count as one.
Shops
Template, custom or Shopify?
We choose by how you sell and what the website must do. We build Shopify stores and custom websites. If a simple builder is enough, we will say so.
Can I manage the products myself?
Yes. You add and change products, text and images in your Content Management System (CMS). Bigger changes can be agreed with us.
I have no store yet. Can I start small?
Yes. You can start with fewer products and features and add more later. We agree what you supply, and we plan the first version around what you need now.
Will moving my shop hurt my search results?
Traffic can move after any move, and no one can guarantee otherwise. What we control: we list your pages, apps, reviews and tracking first, and check that every old product address reaches its new page before launch.

Do I need a custom theme?
Not always. We say which fits after reviewing your products and operations.
Our product data is in spreadsheets and PDFs. Can we start?
Yes. We begin by asking how you keep your product information today, and agree what we organise and what you supply.

Can I edit my own content afterwards?
Yes, through a Content Management System (CMS). You change your own text and images.
Is care after launch included?
Not unless we agree it. Updates, backups, security and renewals are scoped separately, and we write down who does each job.
What does website care cover?
Only what we agree in writing: any of software updates, tested backups, security checks, renewals, form and checkout checks, and keeping content true. Each job has a named owner.
I use Shopify. Do I still need care?
The platform updates its core software, but your apps, your content, your domain and your forms are still yours to look after. We write down who does each one.
Do you promise my site will never go down or be hacked?
No. No one can promise that. We write down what is checked and by whom.
Can I look after the site myself?
Yes. You own everything and you manage text and images in your Content Management System (CMS).
